Bloom Bianca

Bloom Bianca, shade |
This is my first ever Bloom polish! Thanks R! It is my favorite color, mermaid green that flashes back and forth from green to blue.

Bloom Bianca, partial shade |
This polish practically applied itself! 3 easy coats with only the tiniest bit of VNL (visible nail line). I loved the almost jelly-like consistency of the formula.

You definitely should click on the pics to make them larger! I love the shimmery finish, it really IS the color a mermaid would wear!

Bloom Bianca, sun |
Bloom is an Australian brand. In the US we can get Bloom cosmetics, but not Bloom polish. I wish this were not the case, as I officially ♥ Bloom now!

I can't wait to show you the other two polishes R got me from Bloom, they are awesome as well! (But not as awesome as Bianca!)

Cult Nails by Maria of R3 Daily!!!!
Cult Nails Press Release:
August 31, 2010 Nail polish blogger R3 Daily announces a new nail polish line, Cult Nails. Maria Morrison is the blogger of R3 Daily and creator of Cult Nails. The polish line will be B3 Free which means it does not contain formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phtalate. Cult Nails polish line is also camphor free, cruelty free and considered a vegan friendly product. "When creating this line it was important to me that not only can I safely wear it, but so can my daughters."
The line will launch in early 2011 with only three colors. Cult Nails will continue to introduce colors to the line throughout each fashion season in 2011. Maria stated that "While I was very excited about the opportunity, I had to be realistic in what I could bring to the table. A small line with a limited collection is a perfect introduction for Cult Nails. The focus is on creating trend setting polish colors that are fun and safe while taking an earth friendly stance in everything we do" In fact Cult Nails committment to being earth friendly means removing unneccesary packaging, using boxes for shipping that are made from 100% recycled materials and shipping packages with reusable packing materials, like cotton balls.
The three introductory shades will retail for $10 per bottle and will include a vibrant holographic red aptly named "Follow Me", a true grey purple creme with a subtle shimmer named "My Kind of Cool Aid" and a yet to be chosen color that R3 Daily's blog followers will have an opportunity to create. Maria's goal is to involve the polish blogging community in the creation of this new line, "Polish bloggers and followers are the most amazing group of women I have seen. They are so supportive of each other and have amazing ideas when it comes to polish. I can't wait to see what they create! This line isn't just for me, it's for all of us!"

Deborah Lippmann Come Play a Wicked Game!
Lippmann Collection has quietly been renamed Deborah Lippmann. For my sanity, on this blog I just refer to all of them as "Lippmanns." No matter what name is on the bottle this woman can make on hot duochrome! Believe it or not, these pictures were taken on a cloudy day.
I can't believe this has been sitting in my untrieds since January. At work when we win our monthly contests we are given the choice of giftcards to many, many different places. Naturally almost every time I pick Beauty.com, Sephora.com, or Amazon.com. This awesome polish came from Beauty.com. I only wish I had worn it sooner!
This duochrome is EVERYTHING I wanted Zoya Ki to be. I still love Ki, but this is gorgeous!
I don't have too many duochromes in my collection. I really want to pick up some Nubars! What are your favorites, what do you suggest?

Dermelect Launchpad Update!
I have now been wearing Dermelect Launchpad for 21 days, and I must say I love it. Even though my nails are not yet extremely long, they are in SO much better shape! Can you see how wide the tips are? Normally by now I would have little nicks on each side making them more pointy than round. I still have to do a bit of preventative maintenance filing to grow out the damage that was already there, but I can tell it will be worth the wait! Here is what my nails looked like on day one, here after one full week.
I have mentioned before that I do not have much patience, and I would never be able to do a base coat AND a treatment on a daily basis. I love that Launchpad does both for me! Can you see in the picture above how my stains are growing out? For a girl who mainly wears green, blue, and purple polish, I am surprised at how well the Launchpad actually prevents staining!
This product was provided to me by Dermelect for review purposes. I am already planning my first order of Launchpad!

Kaleidoscope Him Out!
Let's start the weekend off with a BANG! Today I have one of my last two ChG Kaleidoscopes.
Kaliescope Him Out is a vivid light blue holo. Unlike alot of other light blue holos, you can actually tell this one is blue. It never looks silver!
I got great coverage out of three coats. The rainbow of colors in this bottle is just beautiful, and I love that it actually translates onto the nail.
I really enjoyed the formula on this polish. However, since I was swatching rather quickly there is a visible bare spot on my middle finger. I am sure with more careful application that could be avoided.
I had planned on showing you He's Going In Circles today too, but blogger is evil. I used to be able to edit at work just fine but lately not so much! So look for those late tonight or early tomorrow!

More Fun with Layering p2 Rich & Royal + OPI What's Dune
Blogger and I are fighting right now. That's why some of the pictures are the wrong size. I give up!
But I hope you enjoy the pretties, I took too many pictures, posted way too many pictures, planned on editing the pictures today from work. However, I think the IE browser is what the problem is.... So I can't even delete the pictures without going into the HTML, and I am afraid I will delete the wrong ones.
So, for your viewing pleasure, 1001 pictures of OPI What's Dune (pink version) over p2 Rich & Royal.

Playing with Layering: CND Effects Ice Blue Shimmer
A few days ago I was playing around with my CND Effects. I have slowly gathered up a few of them, and the one I will show you today is Ice Blue Shimmer.
This is what I started with, Illamasqua Elope, a beautiful kelly green jelly. Unfortunately the beauty of it was spoiled by the fact I did my nails with the fan on and ended up with quite a few bubbles!
Ice Blue Shimmer looks pretty tame in the bottle, I must admit I was not expecting very much out of it. I am happy to say I was completely underestimating its power! I really love the way it turned out! Especially with the green bits around the edges. It really gave my mani great depth.
I can't wait to play around more! Do you have any of the CND Effects? Which one is your favorite?

Would You Visit Me in Prism?
Visit Me in Prism is another beautiful polish from the China Glaze Kaleidoscope collection.
I tend not to graviate towards the lighter holos, as they seem rather "wimpy" to me. For example, I used to own both the pink and purple from the Milani 3D collection, but even DH thought they didn't have enough "umpf." They have been sent to happier homes!
I love the color of the base, as it looks like pink/grey/purple depending on the light.
You can probably tell as much as I can that there is NOTHING wimpy about Visit Me in Prism! I used three coats the day I swatched this. I can't wait to wear it as a full mani.
What are your opinions on the wearablity of this collection? Since I have not worn any as a full mani, and believe me I intend to correct this ASAP, I am not sure how chip-resistant they are. I would love to hear your experiences with this collection!

ChG Let's Do It In 3-D
I hope you will forgive me if I am brief today.
Just a little stressed out, came home from work on a sick day.
So I am not feeling very conversational! Good thing I picked out a polish that can do all the talking!

ChG Let's Do In 3-D was from the long lost Kalediscope collection.
A very very special friend helped me track this down.

I believe this was three coats. It applied very easily. I liked the old brush on it! |
I cannot believe I had this polish for so long and never tried it! I think she sent it to me last winter.
That's all for now! Maybe my conversational skills will return later tonight.

Orange Marmalade and Gatorade

This polish is my favorite kind of finish - glass fleck. Really, is there anything better?
I was outside and forgot the bottle, so I took a picture with my G2 (Gatorade) lid. Doesn't the color look awesome against the lid?
It's like a burning hot sun on my fingertips!
Which polishes do you have from this collection? I am on a mission to hunt them all down!
