Serena Williams wins, game, set, MATCH!

I love the fact that Serena Williams didn't just say, I want to have a nail polish line.  She actually took time out of her busy schedule and became a nail tech!  How cool is that!
PLEASE FORGIVE the weird skincolors in this post!  I took these under the OTT lamp and my camera freaked out!

OPI Black Shatter over Simply Smashing

Simply Smashing is very similar to Orly It's Not Rocket Science, but with a lighter base.  I really like the Black Shatter, I have tried A LOT of "crackle" polishes and this is the fastest and easiest to work with.  I also LOVE how you can control the shatter!  On my pinky i applied very thin coat, and gradually got thicker.  You can see the pinky is VERY shattered, while the ring finger is slightly more dense, and so on.  The last reason I like the OPI Black Shatter so much is how easy it is to remove.  Some brands are a pain in the ass to remove (especially BYS!) but this is super easy.  I can't wait for China Glaze's release, so we can compare the two.  I am very excited for the different color options China Glaze is releasing!

Black Shatter can be purchased on its own, or as part of a set containing Simply Smashing.  It is selling like hotcakes, so if you stumble across it, don't hesitate to pick it up!

*The polishes in this review were lent to me for review purposes.  After my inital review, I was able to obtain my own bottle of Black Shatter thanks to Maria of R3Daily*

The One That Got Away

I didn't think I would like this one very much, but the formula is just so awesome!

It reminds me of the Burlesque collection polishes, but a bit more opaque.

This shade of pink looks awesome with my skintone, if I do say so myself!

Looks how it sparkles in the sun!

Who else thinks Katy Perry should design more polishes?

I had a Teenage Dream Last Friday Nite!

Did you know there were actually 3 glitters in the Katy Perry Collection?

Last Friday Night over Teenage Dream
Just kidding!  But I do love them layered!
When I got into nail polish, China Glaze Atlantis was ALL the rage.  I was the queen of glitter.  The sparklier the better.  But last summer glitter and I kind of fell out of love.  It just seemed like so much work!  Until, that is, OPI and Katy Perry released these glitters.  I AM IN LOVE!

 OPI Last Friday Night
Even without layering, the colors are AMAZ-BALLZ!  I normally can't stand glitter that is not opaque. but these are on a whole different level!  Two coats.  TWO COATS, people!

OPI Teenage Dream
How many times have I told you I DON'T LIKE PINK?  Cause I DON'T!  But I love this one!  Again, ONLY TWO COATS!

Dear Katy Perry,

Please design more polishes.  Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top?

My Tiny, (but steadily growing) Dior Collection

The Katy Perry collection review will continue tomorrow, I ran into some technical difficulties!

Silver Pearl, Timeless Gold, Lemon Balm, and below, Gris Montaigne

Silver Pearl, Timeless Gold, Lemon Balm, and above, Gris Montaigne
In late 2010, Dior updated their formula and their brushes.  I myself was terrified I would not like the new brushes, I heard they were like the Sally Hansen Complete Manicure brushes, which I truly despise.  Luckily for me, the new Dior brushes are not that similar to the SH, other than the idea that the brush is shaped to fit your nail bed.  Also, althought the bottle neck is narrow, the opening is still wider than the SH.  I do find it is much easier to paint my nails with the new brush, as it covers just enough of my *really narrow* nailbeds, even my pinky, without getting polish all over my cuticles.

The boxes are smaller, which irrates my OCD to no end.

Dior Gris Montaigne
And to complete this random post, here are some pics of Gris Montaigne, which is currently available as part of the Spring Collection.  I picked mine up at Sephora.

It's Not Like the Movies! Or Grey's Anatomy, for that matter.

Oh Katy Perry, how I love thee for making this polish!  I was so afraid when I saw promo pics of Not Like the Movies (NLtM) that I would be disapointed.  It looked like an inexpensive "sister" polish of Lippman's Wicked Game (one of my personal favorites).  I am happy to say I wasn't disappointed, it's a great polish overall!  Definitely not a dupe, so you don't have to feel bad for owning both, but can help squash a lemming if you need it to!

Note:  WnW's Grey's Anatomy is awesome too!  Closer to Wicked Game than NLtM

What makes NLtM unique is the micro glitter found throughout the polish, as seen above.  The duochrome is strong, although NOT as strong as Lippman's Wicked Game (very hard to top a Lippman, IMO!) as seen below.  The only drawback was the opacity, this polish requires 3-4 coats.

I was able to pick this polish up at my local beauty supply.  Will you be picking up this polish?
