Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air

So I went away for the weekend skiing, I brought my phone and my mini netbook so that I could stay in touch with all of you, and can you believe the resort had no cell phone coverage?  Crazy!  Let's go strait to my NOTD, shall we?

Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air - 3 coats

Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air - 5 coats

I didn't think I would love it, but I do!  What about you?

Zoya Intimates Part 2

Zoya Caitlin
You can tell by the number of pictures I took of this polish that I am absolutely enamored with it!  Perfect creme finish, super shiny, what else can I say?

Zoya Dove
I wore this as a full mani for 4 days!  I used Zoya Anchor, two coats of polish, Zoya Armor, and topped it off with a coat of SV.  For those of you who have a hard time with Zoya's drying, this combo worked perfectly for me.  So shiny!

Zoya Marley
This was the only polish I had a hard time with.  I think if it had been a creme, it would have been perfect, but I had a hard time with the application.  Don't get me wrong, the shimmer is beautiful, I guess the polish was just out of my league, application wise!

As you can tell, from day 2 I loved Caitin and Dove.  Along with Gemma, they will be the next three Zoya's I buy!

Zoya Intimates SPAM Part 1

Zoya Danni
Gorgeous red purple shimmer, almost a foil.  Unique in my collection!

Zoya Jules
The formula on Jules is very similar to that of Danni.  I thought I would like this one more than I did, it kinda disappeared into my skin.

Zoya Gemma
To-die-for green with blue and purple flash.  This WILL be one of the next Zoya's I buy, I was very sad to give it up!

Do you already own the Zoya Intimates collection?  Which ones did you buy, or do you plan on buying?  Out of these three, I will be purchasing Gemma for sure!  Come back tomorrow to see the rest of the Intimates collection!

Damn You, OPI! My wallet is weaping...

OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise

When I saw promo images of OPI Texas, I was relieved.  I didn't *need* any of them!  But I was intrigued by the sorbets, so I picked up two.  Then I saw the Don't Mess with OPI on rmcandlelight and my resolve weakened.  I went back and bought three more.  Then two more, until I had all 6 of the sorbets and the green.  Then I started swatching the PR samples that OPI shipped to my home.  See, these PR samples aren't really meant for me.  They are meant for someone else, who lives outside of the U.S.  I am just the stopping ground between shipments.  It's fun, 'cause I get to swatch everything!  But then if I like the polish, I realize I *have* to have it.  That's what happened with the first coat of Austin-tatious Turquoise.  This is 3 coats, no top or base coats.  Sigh.  I now own eight of the twelve polishes.

My Kinda Jelly - Majolica Majorca BL005

Majolica Majorca BL005 is a stunning royal blue jelly with tiny turquoise microglitter.  Think Orly Royal Navy, but with micro glitter instead of shimmer.  Majolica Majorca is a subbrand of Shiseido.  I was lucky enough to have someone CP (custom purchase) this for me through MUA.  Unfortuately, we are not in contact any longer, I would love to try some more from this brand!

While researching the brand, I found this poem:

The Legend of Majolica Majorca

Once upon a time there lived a bird.
She was small, and insignificant, and had neither
beautiful feathers nor shining tail.
But her heart was innocent and true.

The bird loved beautiful things,
and she always wished she could become beautiful, too.
Each day she searched and searched for feathers that were
beautiful or unusual, and adorned her body with them.

Before she knew it, the bird had become strangely attractive and unlike any other.
Her beauty was totally unique, fascinating and captivating.

The goddess of beauty had watched all this,
and she felt admiration for the bird’s courage and creativity.
The goddess chanted a spell: “MAJOLICA MAJORCA!”
Then a wonderful thing happened!

The feathers adorning the bird’s body all became real,
and a tiny crown appeared atop the bird’s head.

The bird had become the goddess’ chosen princess,
an evangelist of beauty. “Now,” said the goddess to the bird,
“Go forward into the world and make all the girls beautiful.”
