OPI Holland - The Shimmers - Swatches and Review

I have the last of the OPI Holland collection for you in this post.  I am almost sad it's my last one!  The formula on these were great, once again not a problem polish to be found!  Some of the shades may not be my taste, but they were still a dream to apply.

OPI Pedal Faster Suzi!
Pedal Faster Suzi rests on the line between pink and lilac.  It has a gorgeous silver shimmer!  I really really really wanted to like it, but the shade did not work with my skin tone!

OPI Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
Gouda Gouda Two Shoes is a brick red creme with gold shimmer.  It is definitely a shade I can see other people wearing but not myself.

OPI Vampsterdam
Vampsterdam is a vampy shimmer.  It reminds me a lot of some of my older OPI’s… kinda like Have You Seen My Limo, but without the duochrome.  Indoors it was a deep burgundy, but outside in the sunlight it appeared much more purple.  It was a little streaky and required 3 coats to be even.

OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know?
Wooden Shoe Like to Know? is a very interesting shade of brown with copper shimmer.  If I was into browns, I would totally be into this polish... but I'm not.

OPI Dutch-Ya Just Love OPI?

Dutch-Ya Just Love OPI is a medium red-based purple with a pink shimmer.  This one really shines in the sunlight!  There is a Zoya out there that is similar to Dutch-Ya Just Love OPI,  You can see a great comparison Cris did here.  Right now I will stick with the OPI, since I don't have to use a special base and top coat like you do with the Zoya.

OPI Holland - The Blues - Swatches and Review

Pin ItI am loving both the blues from the OPI Holland collection!  I actually wore both of these shades as full on manicures last weekend and got compliments on both.
OPI I Have a Herring Problem

I Have a Herring Problem is the slate blue of the two.  They both have a milky base with silver and gold shimmer particles.  I think that this is the more sophisticated of the two.

OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam

I Don't Give a Rotterdam is the more periwinkle of the two... it is a much more girly shade and I loved it!

I already did a post comparing I Have a Herring Problem to I Don't Give a Rotterdam, but a few people asked me how they compared to Zoya Skylar.  You can see a great comparison Cris did here.

OPI Holland - The Cremes - Swatches and Review

Pin ItBecause I liked a lot of the OPI Holland collection so much, I ended up with a lot of pictures!  So I am going to break the collection down into a few posts.  Up first is the cremes.  I will tell you now that the formula on these is great.  Not a single problem color in the bunch!

OPI A Roll in the Hauge
A Roll in the Hauge is a super bright, in your face coral.  Its definitely on the red side of coral and is almost neon (but it doesn't have the neon pigment that makes polishes chalky).  I think this will look good on a lot of skin tones!

OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?
If you have had trouble in the past with nudes being too warm or too yellow, you may find that Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh? is perfect for you.

OPI Kiss Me on My Tulips
Kiss Me on My Tulips is a perfect fuchsia crème with a bit of a scandalous name.  I don’t wear pink often, but when I do, this is the shade I prefer to wear.

OPI Red Lights Ahead.... Where?
OPI Red Lights Ahead... Where?  I just don't get the name.  But that aside, this is a fun polish!  It is soft and bright at the same time.  It reads more Summer than Spring to me.  I definitely will be wearing this again soon.  It would look great as a pedi with a pair of tan sandals!

OPI Thanks a Windmillion
Thanks a Windmillion seems dupey to me, but I can’t think of one off the top of my head.  Either way it’s a gorgeous smooth green that I know I will be wearing as an NOTD soon!  Be sure to allow a little bit of extra time in between coats to prevent cuticle drag.

OPI certainly knows what they are doing when it comes to the creme formula, and they showed that off this Spring.  Even some of the shades that aren't that original are such perfection that you may find yourself buying them anyways!

Stay tuned for more from the OPI Holland Collection!

Want Some Candy? China Glaze Kinetic Candy

China Glaze Kinetic Candy
Pin ItI continue to be surprised by how much I like the polishes from China Glaze Electropop (except for one)!

Today I am showing you (and for once, still wearing!) China Glaze Kinetic Candy.  Kinetic Candy is a gorgeous cool baby blue.  The formula was a tad thick, but well worth it!  This is shown with 3 coats, topped with a layer of Seche Vite.

Every time I hear the work "kinetic" I think of the Kinetics Festival in Boulder, Colorado (where I went to college).  It's a race, of sorts, where people build human powered devices to travel over water and air.  It's really just a big party!

Do you NEED this?  If you like blue, the answer is a resounding yes!!!
