I was recently allowed to choose a few Sally Hansen products to review, and one of the ones I chose was the Salon Manicure Cuticle Eraser + Balm.
From the Sally Hansen website:
Combination remover and creme quickly eliminates excess, ragged cuticles & hangnails as it conditions nails and cuticles. The result? Instantly, healthy, beautiful, conditioned cuticles that look up to 80% smoother.*
This winter has been hard on my nails. The temperatures here in Iowa keep fluctuating from 30 degrees with a wind chill of 10 degrees, to warm and sunny at 65 degrees. Both the skin on my face and the skin around my nails freaked out! I had some nasty looking cuticles and some painful hangnails, and I was desperate to find something to fix them.
I will admit that I was first attracted to this particular product by how pretty it is, but it works! It is similar in concept to a product I used to use, CND Cuticle Eraser. (The name is similar too!) I stopped using the CND because it became hard for me to find and the formula seemed to have changed when they did a package redesign. Plus, when I used the CND I would have to use an additional product on top to moisturize. With the Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser + Balm I can do it all in one step! Bonus: It smells awesome! Definitely smells like a spa product!
Additional information from the website:
Application Tips
Massage a small amount into cuticles until completely absorbed. Use a cuticle pusher, if needed, to help further loosen hard to remove cuticles. Use daily for maximum benefits. Wash hands before applying polish.
Benefits
2-in-1 formula with white tea & cucumber gently & quickly loosens & exfoliates stubborn, overgrown cuticles while leaving skin feeling deeply moisturized
Helps prevent hangnails and promotes healthy nail growth
It can be used daily
I have been using this for a little over two weeks, and I can definitely see a change in my cuticles and my hang nails have all but disappeared! Plus, a little goes a long way, this is how much I have left:
This is a new product from Sally Hansen, right now I found it available at Target (here) for $6.49 and Walgreens (here) for $7.49, but soon it should be available wherever Sally Hansen products are sold! Plus don't forget to look for coupons! There are often coupons for Sally Hansen products here and here.
What do you think? Is this something YOU would try?
