In today’s post I am showing you two of the four Nicole by OPI shades that will be available for all of 2012! (See the bottom of the post for the full list of retailers.) Click the pictures to see them full size!
A Lit-Teal Bit of Love is a vivid blue foil with very small silver foil pieces that brighten the overall appearance of the color. I really like this one, but I find the name lacking! This is not a teal! The closet polish I have to it is OPI Swimsuit… Nailed it! Ironically enough, Swimsuit… Nailed It! is more teal than A Lit-Teal Bit of Love. No matter the name, A Lit-Teal Bit of Love is a gorgeous shade, the only negative thing I can say about it is that it was slightly difficult to remove… but it didn’t stain my nails like Swimsuit… Nailed It! did.
Vio-let’s Talk About Red is an awesome shimmer! The base color is very similar to that of OPI Overexposed in South Beach (except that shade is a crème), but the overall effect a little lighter due to the shimmer particles. Like A Lit-Teal Bit of Love, it is similar to another polish from the Miss Universe collection, Miss Congeniality. I didn’t buy Miss Congeniality, so I can’t do a side by side comparison to know for sure. Either way, the formula on this one is great and it looks great against my skin tone!
While I am not calling them dupes, if you missed out on last year’s Miss Universe collection, these Nicole by OPI shades are awesome replacements!!! Both of these polishes are finding a permanent home in my stash!
All four new Nicole by OPI colors are available for $7.99 each in the U.S. at CVS, Harmon, HEB, Rite Aid, Sears, Stage Stores, Target, ULTA, and Walmart, as well as online at Amazon.com, Drugstore.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com. In Canada, lacquers will be retailed for $10.99 each at Jean Coutu, Loblaw, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Walmart Canada.
