I recently received my third Glossybox in the mail. (You can see my first box here and my second box here). I mentioned in my last Glossybox post I was nearly convinced I would finally sign up for a subscription service (I’ve held out this long!) but some concerns were brought up in my comments section. At the time a lot of people felt that bloggers were still receiving “special” boxes with full size items that paying subscribers did not receive - last month it was the Show Off Mascara. I am happy to report that my concerns have been put to rest, as bloggers and (some) paying subscribers did receive the mascara! Not every box is the same though, and some people received an eye shadow instead of the mascara.

As you can see this month’s box had a theme - Summer Nights.
As usual, click to enlarge any of the pictures.

Alessandro International Pedix Heal Rescue Balm - yay! The very first item is something I will actually use! It is a very generous sample size (30ml) and only smells slightly minty… Not over-the-top peppermint like many other foot creams. I like that this is a new to me brand. Alessandro International is actually from Germany.
Sebastian Color Ignite Multi Tone Shampoo and Conditioner - score! Two more products I will actually use! I started going grey in my teens and I color my hair a lot. I will definitely put these to good use. They are also generously sized - the shampoo is 1.7 oz. and the conditioner is 1.6 oz. - perfect for travel! While looking for the product size I discovered that Sebastian is actually owned by Wella!
Figs & Rouge Sweet Geranium Lip, Face & Body Balm - ding ding ding! Another product I will use - in fact I have already started using it! I have been applying it daily to my cuticles and I am happy to report it doesn’t actually smell like Geraniums. Pretty flower but icky smell!
Senna Cosmetics Double Dose Lip Lacquer - strike! I was really excited to see this Senna lip gloss duo included in my Glossybox. It is a brand I have wanted to try forever! I have heard a lot of good things about Senna, but unfortunately my expectations fell flat. I have two requirements when it comes to lip gloss - smell good and feel good. The Senna did neither of these. The smell is very plasticy - rather off-putting! And the glitter in the darker coral gloss is so coarse it actually hurt my lips. I appreciate that I received a full sized item that retails for $22.00, but this is a FAIL in my book.
Blushed Fragrance by Ruddy Water - since this is considered a “bonus” item I am not too disappointed that I don’t like it. Fragrance is such a personal preference, and I have only come across a few in my life that I can actually wear. This isn’t one of them, but I am intrigued by the packaging - it’s a fragranced wipe!
It’s official. When Glossybox stops sending me promo boxes, I am signing up! I definitely think that this box was worth way more than the $21.00 subscription! If you want to sign up, I would love it if you clicked on the image below!
