I recently received the OPI Skyfall collection for review, and while I haven’t yet had a chance to swatch it for you, I did immediately notice that in the bottle OPI On Her Majesty’s Secret Service looked like a dead-on dupe for Zoya FeiFei. I wore FeiFei a few days ago and loved it, almost enough to add it to my Top 20 list! However the Zoya Color Lock System does not seem to work for me and I had trouble with it drying. You all gave me wonderful suggestions that I will try next time I wear a Zoya polish, but my first thought when I saw OPI OHMSS was - dupe?!? This means I don’t have to keep Zoya FeiFei now! Hurray!
Let’s take a closer look at OPI OHMSS versus Zoya FeiFei (from the NYFW Diva collection). As you can see from the pictures above, the polishes look very similar… dare I say dupes? But when you look at the pictures below, in different lighting, you can see that there is one small difference.
That difference is apparent in the swatch featuring only one coat - Zoya FeiFei has a decidedly bluer base, while OPI OHMSS has a more grey base. Even after two coats, under artificial light the Zoya is still bluer. However, in natural light, that difference is less apparent.
So are they true dupes? No. Do you need both? NO! My Zoya FeiFei will be finding a new home, and OPI On Her Majesty’s Secret Service will definitely become a member of my Top 20!
