China Glaze’s holiday collection this season is… holiday themed! Holiday Joy is a collection of 12 polishes - a blue, some glitters and reds, of course! Isn’t it nice when a holiday collection actually has holiday colors?

Blue Bells Ring is a shimmery blue foil, and a surprise favorite for me. I wasn’t prepared to like this blue foil. Lately I have just not been that into foils, period. We saw so many of them last year! But this polish rocks - one coat of intense, in-your-face blue! It had a much much better formula and application than I would expect from a foil.

Angel Wings is a gold glitter with scattered holographic particles. It only took two coats to reach full opacity! These pictures do not truly do it justice, Angel Wings is practically blinding in the sun!
I have heard this is a dupe for last year’s Ultimate Holiday (an ULTA exclusive) but I did not find that to be the case. The glitter in Angel Wings is very small and dense, but not 100% smooth… in other words, actual glitter. The glitter in Ultimate Holiday is very tiny and smooth, more like gold particles, and much less dense. The holographic particles are different to, they actually seem to flash more red and green. I did some nail wheel swatches to compare the two, let me know if you want to see them!

Glistening Snow is the silver sister of Angel Wings. Like Angel Wings, this is made up of actual glitter and not small particles. I layered this over Blue Bells Ring and you can really see how strong the holographic particles are!

Finally we have Pizzazz, a multicolored “party” glitter which I layered one generous coat over Blue Bells Ring. Believe it or not, with all the Happy Birthday dupes I have, this polish is unique in my stash. There is definitely more of a color range in Pizzazz than the others! And you can never have too many glitters, can you?
