Algenist Triple-Action Micropolish & Peel Review

Pin ItI usually stay away from manual exfoliation, because I find it is harsh on my sensitive skin.  For example, the famous ExfoliKate?  Yeah that turns my face into an angry red beast.
algenistHowever, when I was asked to try this Algenist Triple-Action Micopolish & Peel, I couldn’t resist!  I have been dealing with a severe case of “dry winter skin” I really need a boost to my exfoliation routine.  Plus I have been using my Futurederm Time Release Retinol 0.5 twice a week for chemical exfoliation, and I knew that I would benefit from a weekly peel to help with the flaky skin patches I occasionally experience.

Algenist Triple-Action Micropolish & Peel

AlgenistWhat They Say:
Leveraging the science of biotechnology, this advanced microdermabrasion peel resurfaces the skin with a 10% acid duo (patent-pending Alguronic Acid + Glycolic Acid) in a potent combination with a 10% fruit enzyme complex and micro polishing crystals to immediately transform skin texture & tone.
Active Ingredients:
    1. Alguronic Acid/Glycolic Acid Duo: Generates dermal cell renewal by removing the top layer of cells to regenerate smoother, more even skin underneath
    2. Micropolishing Crystals: Supports mechanical epidermal exfoliation to lift off larger skin-dulling cells and buffs away rough skin to reveal a radiant new skin surface
    3. Pumpkin & pomegranate fruit enzymes: Helps the enzymatic dissolution of smaller skin-dulling cells

    INGREDIENTS

What I Say:
This “peel” is very easy to apply - just squeeze a small amount out of the tube, massage onto skin, wait three minutes, and rinse!  I always apply the peel to the areas that need it most first - my nose and forehead, and my cheeks last, since they are more delicate.
I have used the peel several times, and I have never experienced angry red skin.  My skin feels softer, looks smoother, and even more pores appear diminished.
I can honestly say that I would highly recommend the Algenist Triple-Action Micropolish & Peel.  At $58 it’s not something to buy on a whim, but if you are looking for serious yet gentle exfoliation, the 2.0 fl oz tube will last year a long, long time!
This is the second Algenist product I have tried, and I must say I am impressed!  I have my eye on the Complete Eye Renewal Balm next!

The Algenist Triple-Action Micropolish & Peel is available for $58 at Sephora, Sephora.com and Algenist.com.
