China Glaze Texture ♥ Swatches & Review

China Glaze Texture

China Glaze Texture collection is six fruit-punch flavored shades that make me think of summer.  These are “crème” textured polishes - at least as crème as textured polishes can be.  Out of all the textured polishes I have tried, this is the only collection that doesn’t have glitter or shimmer in it - which I find to be a relief!  Almost a palette cleanser, you could say…

Of Coarse! is my favorite shade of blue to wear in the summer - a cool medium blue that reminds me of a swimming pool!

In The Rough is a soft light green.  I wore this shade for a few days and I kept thinking I had a tennis ball on my fingers!  Exact same color and very similar texture!  Some people love the smell of “fresh tennis balls” but I am not one of them.  Luckily this shade just smelled like nail polish!

Itty, Bitty & Gritty is a gorgeous coral shade.  I am such a sucker for these shades lately.  When I first got into nail polish, I rarely bought polishes in the shade.  Now I can’t stop!

Toe-Tally Textured is a perfect orange.  I took the pictures too quickly after swatching and you can see that my ring nail never quite finished drying!  Note to self - slow down!

Unrefined is a bubble gum pink.  I experienced the same issue with Unrefined as Toe-Tally Textured - I didn’t wait long enough before snapping these pics.

China Glaze Bump & GrindChina Glaze Bump & Grind China Glaze Bump & Grind

Bump & Grind… I ♥ the name of this shade.  I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind!  This is another shade that I am inexplicably drawn to - so pink but I love it so much!

I did not try to top coat this polishes, as I have with many of the other textured collections on the market.  I really just didn’t see the point!  I found them easy to apply, but make sure you wait a little bit longer than normal in between coats (and to take pics) that you normally would.  I wore In The Rough for a few days, and I did have some chips by the end of day two.  I didn’t really expect the wear to be any better than that considering the state of my nails (dry and peeling) and the lack of top coat.  If my nails were in better shape I feel that I could have made it past the second day without chips.

I really liked this collection, but to be honest, I am ready for a new trend.  Not that I wouldn’t wear textured polishes, but I feel like I have so many already that I am set for the rest of my life!  What about you?
