Wantable - Did This Subscription Service Pass The Test?

A few weeks ago I told you about a new-to-me subscription service called Wantable.  I went through a very detailed questionnaire and today I am going to share with you want I received.  Did it live up to my (high) expectations?

My box arrived quickly.  Very quickly, actually! I placed my order on the 14th, received a shipping confirmation on the 15th, and box arrived on the 16th!  I even received a notification that my box had been delivered, which I appreciated.

The box itself was very plain and simple, but the packaging was perfect.  My goodies were layered in between strips of foam.  Considering I received not one but two bottles of polish, this made me very happy!

I received the following:

Now what products did I actually love?  Both nail polishes, of course.  I had never tried either brand before, and fell in love with them both.  I thought it was wonderful to see an indie brand like Rainbow Honey in my box!  I have never tried cake eyeliner before, but I am all set to try it out now, especially because I received the flat eyeliner brush.  I was not thrilled with the bronzer, but that was more because of the shade than the product.  The brow pencil?  Maybe a few months ago I would have been happy to receive it, but it can’t touch my IT Cosmetics YBBB.

If you look at my look at my Loves and Likes, I received 3 Loves and 3 Likes.  In the future I am going to remove Bronzer and Brows from my Likes, as my box made me realize I really don’t want those two items.  Now that was not Wantable’s fault, that was mine!

Any box that sends me awesome nail polish is a winner in my book!  I am now an avid Rainbow Honey fan, and have spent hours looking at swatches!  And I don’t think that I could have received a better color from Face Stockholm, this blue is perfect for me!

Would I recommend Wantable?  Yes!  It’s the only truly customizable subscription box that I am aware of, and you certainly get your money’s worth.  My box had 5 full size items and one travel brush, for a total retail value of $80.  The monthly subscription is $36, or you can buy just one box for $40.  PLUS, if you don’t like you box, you can return it!  Do you know any other subscription services that allow that?

You can sign up for Wantable here, using my referral link.  If you would rather not use my referral link, you can go to www.wantable.com.   Wantable also has two more subscription boxes - jewelry and intimates!  I am strangely fascinated by the idea of an intimates box.

Coming Soon: OPI Mariah Carey Holiday

Mariah Holiday
Another Mariah Carey collection?  Well, I guess this one make more sense, making it a holiday themed collection.  My husband actually bought me her Christmas CD last year to replace my long lost one.  And I have to admit, I did like a quite a few of the polishes in her last collection.  OPI is continuing what they started with that collection with 6 more Liquid Sand polishes.
Mariah Carey is truly synonymous with the holiday season,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “People around the world listen to her festive, iconic songs – ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ is a personal favorite – and these 18 lacquers evoke the warmth, beauty, energy and positive spirit that’s present in Mariah’s music.

“This holiday season is all about red, glitter and texture for nails,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “With 18 shades, there’s a perfect hue for every occasion. The 12 crème and glitter lacquers include classic reds, champagne gold, and warm burgundies, while the six Liquid Sand shades should be worn without top coat for a matte finish in icy, frosted colors.”

3 Pencils I Can’t Live Without

3 Pencils I can't live without
3 Pencils I can't live without
Here are 3 pencils I recently discovered that I never want to be without:
  • IT Cosmetics YBBB Skinny Pencil* - This is the perfect “my brows are done but you can’t tell” pencil.  I probably used it twenty times last month!
  • butter LONDON Wink Eye Pencil in Brown Sugar* - I know that most people think that Urban Decay pencils are the end-all be-all, but for me this pencil blows them out of the water!  Perfect brown shade with no glitter.
  • Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon in Blacquer - I received this as a 100 point gift from Sephora and it is amazing - gel liner in a twist up pencil form!  Plus, it lasts for several hours on my waterline!  I don’t have any other pencils that work this well on my waterline, and for that alone I know I will be buying this in full size.
What are your latest makeup obsessions?

Top Ten Tuesdays - Ten Under $10

Normally when the Top Ten Beauty Bloggers come up with a Top Ten list, I find a way to spin the list into nail polishes.  Trying to come up with "the best" Top Ten Nails Polishes Under $10 seemed waaayyyyyyy to intimidating to me, therefor I bring you my Top Ten Non-Nail Polish Picks!
  1. Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara - I am currently using the Waterproof, plan to try the regular when summer is over!
  2. NYX Auto Eyebrow Pencil in Charcoal - I have been really into filling my eyebrows lately.  I reach for this charcoal when the rest of my makeup look leans cool.
  3. Essence Kiss Care Love Lipbalm in Fruitylicious - OMG my latest obsession!  It smells SO GOOD!
  4. Essence Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - I have no idea why they call this waterproof, because it isn't, but it is EXTREMELY easy to apply and does "stay all day" - as long as it does not come in contact with water!
  5. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 120 Classic Ivory - I find it hard to find a decent drugstore foundation under $10, but this one fits the bill!
  6. Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Sunbaked - I love this Bobbi Brown-ish gloss that I found thanks to Nouveau Cheap!
  7. Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Innocent - I love the entire Rimmel Exaggerate line!
  8. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Airy Fairy - I really don't know many people that aren't in love with this iconic pinky-nude
  9. Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle - I have purchased 4 tubes, and I will probably purchase 4 more!
  10. Ixora Beautiful Cuticle Cream* - I recently got to try this cuticle cream, and I can't recommend it highly enough!  Super moisturizing and long lasting, but soaks in quickly.

Check out the rest of the Top Ten Lists below!
