When I saw the latest two installments in OPI’s Designer Series polishes were going to be matte textured glitters, I thought “more Liquid Sands?” I couldn’t have been more wrong! Yes, these are textured glitters that dry matte, but they are not bumpy like most Liquid Sands. These are rather smooth, and with a few coats of top coat, totally smooth (see my How To Smooth Out Bumpy Glitters).
I am in LOVE with DS Lapis. It’s the dark night sky polish we all love, but matte. Due to the large majority of glitter packed into this polish, it is slightly thick yet still easy to apply and covered completely in two coats. It’s very pretty matte, but with top coat? TO DIE FOR!
DS Pewter is a dark smoky base filled with two sizes of silver glitter. It applies more like a regular glitter polish, and again does not require more than a few coats of top coat to be completely smooth. It’s gorgeous both matte and with top coat - though not as gorgeous as DS Lapis!
