Just when I thought I was finally over the textured trend FOR GOOD, OPI brings us three Liquid Sands polishes as part of the San Francisco collection… two creams and a glitter. And I must say, two of the them are to die for!
I am going to get the one out of the way that I “just liked” - It’s All San Andreas’s Fault. It’s a textured version of the ever popular mushroom taupe shade, a la You Don’t Know Jacques. Although it’s textured, the formula remains shiny. Shown here with two coats.
Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! is a deep blue that is oh so gorgeous! I really loved this one, thought the name makes me think of Worf from Star Trek, rather than a wharf in San Francisco. I absolutely love how shiny this one is. Shown here with two coats.
Alcatraz… Rocks is a multicolored glitter in a blue base. I wore this one twice - once on it’s own, and once layered over another color with topcoat. I loved it both ways! Below I layered one coat of Alcatraz… Rocks over two coats of Keeping Suzi at Bay, topped with one layer of top coat. I really love that it brings out ALL the colors in the glitter when you wear it layered! Click the pic to enlarge it and see what I mean!
The best thing about these Liquid Sand polishes is that NONE of them feel like sandpaper on your nails - I could actually wear them without fighting the urge to peel the paint right off like I do with other textured polishes.
This is my last installment in my OPI San Francisco collection review. If you missed the other two posts, you can check out the Shimmers here and the Crèmes here.
