OPI Mariah Carey Holiday -The Shimmers and Glitters

Earlier today I showed you the The Reds from the Mariah Carey Holiday collection, and now I have the Shimmers and Glitters for you!   Detailed swatches and my thoughts after the jump!

OPI Ski Slope Sweetie OPI Warm Me Up

Ski Slope Sweetie is a golden white shimmer.  When I first saw this in the bottle I thought it would be very similar to OPI Hollywood Blonde.  I was wrong!  Hollywood Blonde is very sheer, while Ski Slope Sweetie is opaque in two coats!  I love this, and I can’t wait to layer it!  I also think it would make a wonderful base for stamping.

Warm Me Up is a deep coffee brown with a hint of silver shimmer.  I love how cool toned it is!

OPI I Snow You Love Me (over Vision of Love) OPI All Sparkly and Gold

I Snow You Love Me (over Vision of Love) is the first mainstream polish I have seen that uses circle glitter.  Circle glitter is very heavy, and even though I inverted the bottle overnight, I still had trouble placing the glitter on the nail.  I hate to say it, but this was a fail.

All Sparkly and Gold is comprised of tiny gold and silver microglitter in a slightly smokey base.  The gold is the predominate color.  I really love this kind of glitter, shown here with just two coats!

OPI My Favorite OrnamentOPI Wonderous Star

My Favorite Ornament is the champagne  sister of All Sparkly and Gold.  It’s gorgeous on its own, but would make a fabulous layering polish!  I can see wearing it over a nice deep green in December.

Wonderous Star is the freckled cousin of My Favorite Ornament.  Here I layered one coat of Wonderous Star over two coats of My Favorite Ornament.  I love the black speckle!

A few more pictures, in the sun.
