OPI Miss Universe 2013 ♥ Swatches & Review

OPI Miss Universe 2013

I am so excited to share the OPI 2013 Miss Universe collection with you!  I will fully admit that I was not expecting much, the promo pictures actually kinda bored me.  But let me tell you as soon as I started swatching this collection, I fell in love.  This may be my favorite OPI collection of all of 2013!  The two crèmes are amazingly smooth, and the satin finish of the silver foil is beyond gorgeous.

OPI I’m Feeling SashyOPI I’m Feeling Sashy

I’m Feeling Sashy is a muted lilac crème.  It is a few shades more violet than Illamasqua Velocity (see my comparison on Instagram).  This shade was slightly uneven on the first coat, but filled in and self-leveled on the second.  My favorite of the three!

OPI Miss You-niverseOPI Miss You-niverse

Miss You-niverse is a dark plum with a lot of blue in it.  This was almost a one coater!  I needed two to even out the imperfections in my nails, but you may only need one.  I love how deep this shade is.

OPI This Gown Needs a CrownOPI This Gown Needs a Crown

This Gown Needs a Crown is a satin finish glittery foil.  I had a hard time telling if it was a glitter or a foil – I believe it is very tiny glitter that, after 3 coats, gives a foil-like effect.  This polish does not require a top coat, as it is intended to have a satin finish.  It does not dry bumpy like a Liquid Sand, and does require more dry time than a Liquid Sand.  The satin finish made this really stand out!

I wasn’t sure if OPI could top the Miss Universe 2011, but once again I stand corrected.  Will you be picking up any from this collection?
