Are you a Carrie Underwood fan? I can’t say that I am, but I did enjoy watching her on American Idol all those years ago! Today I have her collaboration with Nicole by OPI to share with you. This collection includes 14 shades – lots of pinks here! I will share my thoughts on the collection at the end of the post.
All polishes shown with two coat, except the glitter toppers, which are shown with one coat.
Love My Pups is a light and sweet ballet slipper pink.
Sweet Daisy is a creamy apricot shade.
Some Hearts is a bright and happy coral-pink.
Backstage Pass has a brown base with a magenta shimmer.
Fisher Queen is a royal shimmering purple.
Goodbye Shoes is a creamy slate grey that leans green.
As American As Apple Pie is aptly named – a true blue based red with hidden shimmer.
I have mixed feeling about this collection. While there is not a single bad apple in the bunch, there are only a few standout shades. The formula seems thinner to me than before, although all the crèmes were still opaque in two coats. The shimmers were very thin, but not runny. However you need to apply them with the lightest touch, any pressure at all would drag the polish beneath the brush, leaving you with bare spots. The two glitter toppers were easy work with, but Sing Like a Bee and Carrie’d Away surprised me by being textures. They also surprised me by being my absolute favorites!
