OPI Muppets Most Wanted (Soft Shades 2014) ♥ Swatches & Review

OPI Muppets Most Wanted

For their 2014 Soft Shades collection, OPI has taken a twist with The Muppet’s Most Wanted.  In addition to the usual pale nudes and shimmer we have a vibrant blue shimmer, a two-toned duochrome and 3 glitters!  Glitters are not that unusual in Soft Shades collections, but one of these is actually Mylar shards!

While I thought this wasn't the best representative of a bridal collection (that’s what the Soft Shades are supposed to be) I did really like a few of the polishes!

The crème nudes, Chillin’ Like A Villain and I Love Applause, had a fantastic formula that only needed two coats.  Miss Piggy’s Big Number and Kermit Me to Speak had a very thin formula that did not run or pool in my cuticles.  The formula was reminiscent of old school OPI, but without all the yucky chemicals!  Int’l Crime Caper is a very pretty (very bridal) shimmer that looks lovely layered over Miss Piggy’s Big Number.

The duochrome shift in Kermit Me to Speak was actually easier to see indoors than out, which surprised me.  It’s definitely something you need to check out in person!  The tricolor gold, silver and rose gold Mylar shard flakes in Gaining Mole-mentum were actually quite stunning.  I don’t usually go for the “shard” polishes, but this one is a keeper!

This collection is available now wherever OPI polishes are sold.  I have already spotted it at ULTA!

My top two picks from this collection are Gaining Mole-mentum and Kermit Me to Speak.
