OPI Coca-Cola Collection ♥ Swatches and Review

OPI Coca-Cola Collection

I don’t know why I am so psyched about the Coca-Cola by OPI collection.  Truth be told, I don’t like Coke (or Pepsi, for that matter)!  I used to be all about Sprite and Fanta, but I rarely drink soda nowadays, and if I do it’s usually the 10 calorie variety.  But something about an iconic brand being featured in a nail polish collection gets me excited!

There are nine shades in this collection – 5 crèmes, one duochrome, one foily-shimmer and one fantastic (!) glitter.

OPI Coca-Cola RedOPI You're So Vain-illa

Coca-Cola Red is the quintessential Coke red.  Even better, it looks this great in just one coat.

You’re So Vain-illa is inspired by Vanilla Coke.  OPI has been putting out really interesting neutrals in their collections, and You’re So Vain-illa is no different.  The formula was awesome, smooth and even in two coats.  It’s slightly too warm to be a good fit for me  Click here to see it compared to My Vampire Is Buff and Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh?

OPI Sorry I'm Frizzy TodayOPI Get Cherried Away

Sorry I’m Fizzy Today is another shade inspired by Vanilla Coke.  I really don’t get this shade, or how it relates to cola, but I do appreciate that it’s not just another pink crème.  It’s got a lot of yellow in it, so much that it actually pulls coral on me in the sunlight (see below).

Get Cherried Away is inspired by Cherry Coke.  I will admit, I like Cherry Coke.  I would never order it for myself, but for some reason every time my family went to Cedar Point when I was younger, my dad would order a giant Cherry Coke and we would drink it while standing in the long lines for the rids.  This shade had a spectacular formula.  Click here to see it compared to OPI Anti-Bleak.

OPI Today I Accomplished ZeroOPI My Signature is DC

Today I Accomplished Zero is inspired by Coke Zero and it is one of my two “must haves” from this collection.  It is comprised of red glitter in a dark base.  I love that the base does not swallow up the glitter – it actually glows!  (See below).

My Signature is “DC” is inspired by Diet Coke.  And what other shade would Diet Coke be, if not silver to match the silver cans?  This isn’t your run-of-the-mill silver polish, either.  It’s a dense silver foil – almost like aluminum foil!  Not too brush stoke-y and perfect in two coats.

OPI A Grape AffairOPI Orange You Fantasic (over Atomic Orange)

A Grape Affair is inspired by Grape Fanta.  I love these types of purple cremes.  OPI does them so well!  Click here to see it compared to Vant to Bite My Neck?

Orange You Fantastic! (over OPI Atomic Orange) is inspired by Orange Fanta.  I was obsessed with Orange Fanta when I was in college, so even before I swatched this polish I had fond feelings for it.  It is a yellow-tinged clear base filled with a dazzling array of glitters.  I chose to layer it over OPI Atomic Orange.

OPI Green On The Runway

Green on the Runway - the green with a thousand faces!  My favorite shade from the entire collection.  I don’t see how this polish was inspired by Sprite – it reminded me more of a scarab beetle.  I won’t even try to describe it.  I will just let these pictures do the talking.

OPI Orange You FantasticOPI Today I Accomplish Zero 2OPI Green on the RunwayOPI Sorry I'm Frizzy Today

My standouts from this collection are Green on the Runway, Today I Accomplished Zero, My Signature is “DC” and Orange You Fantastic?  If you like warmer neutrals, definitely pick up You’re So Vain-illa.  And if you missed Vant to Bite My Neck? or Anti-Bleak, then definitely pick up A Grape Affair and Get Cherried Away!

What are your favorite shades from this collection?
