This past weekend I had a blast at The Makeup Show Chicago! I got to meet people that I had only ever talked to online, and got to spend the whole weekend with my friend Carleen from Beauty & Fashion Tech and Ty and Evie from Puppy on a Roomba!
The weekend started off with a blogger preview event on Friday night, hosted by James Vincent. Once you listen to the man speak you realize why he is so revered. I have never met someone so passionate about makeup in my life! The only thing he is more passionate about than makeup helping and motivating aspiring makeup artists. After listening to him talk I wanted to become one myself! We did receive goodies from several of the brands at the show in our press kit, but those are not the products I wanted to show you today. I wanted to show you what I bought!
As far as swatches and reviews go, I swatched the Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows yesterday. Serenity+Scott was my discovery of the day. I plan on doing a very special post with the products I picked up from them next week! I plan on a doing a separate post on the Vera Mona Color Switch Solo, which is an awesome on-the-spot brush cleaner, and I have already started testing the Static Nails!
