Nothing puts me in a better mood than buying new makeup and saving money on it at the same time! In the past I have felt bad buying products at the drugstore when I knew I had coupons at home. I don’t have to worry about that now because Walgreens has Paperless Coupons!
There have been a lot of real gems released at the drugstores lately (Maybelline Nudes, anyone?) and I have been itching to get to Walgreens to go shopping! Even though I desperately need some waterproof mascara (mine keeps running in this heat!) I can never seem to find the time to plan out a time to go, so I often stop in at my local Walgreens when I am out doing other errands, like I did this past weekend.
Using Paperless Coupons at Walgreens is easy! All you have to do is be a Balance Rewards member (it’s free!) and have the app on your phone. You can plan ahead and add clip coupons on your phone, or you can do what I did and clip them while you are in the store!
Another great thing about the Walgreens App is that the coupons are tied directly to your Rewards Card – there’s only one barcode to scan! The first time I used the paperless coupons I forgot that I had a few clipped to my Rewards card until I looked at my receipt on the way out the door. Talk about happy accidents!
When I walked into Walgreens this weekend, I already had a bunch of paperless coupons clipped, but when I saw that CoverGirl was on sale (which is rare!) I checked to see if there were any coupons available – and there were two! I had already been planning on picking up some waterproof mascara for the summer, so I grabbed two CoverGirl LashBlast mascaras.
Since I am always on the hunt for a moisturizing lip color to wear to work, I scoped the sales for some lip products as well. I have been hearing awesome things about both the CoverGirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balms and Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stains. Since they were also both BOGO 50% off I grabbed a “safe” color and a “fun” color in each formula. And I found the perfect “work” lip in CoverGirl Mauve Twist!
I was able to combine the weekly BOGO sale with three paperless coupons. I did so well I allowed myself to pick up the new Maybellines Nudes palette, even though I need another neutral palette like I need a hole in the head!
Altogether between sales and the coupons I clipped on my phone I saved $27.90 at Walgreens this weekend, rediscovered CoverGirl Lash Blast, found the perfect work lippy AND I earned 5600 Rewards Points, which means next time I walk into Walgreens I can take $5.00 off my total!
Have you used Paperless Coupons at Walgreens yet?
