Today I have the second part of the Salon Perfect Top (Coat) of the Class display to share with you, three glitters that are part of the 60’s Mod Squad Collection. Unlike the Totally 80’s Collection which I have already shown you, I had a lot of problems with these glitters. I really loved the way they look in the bottle, and one even looked good on the nail, but the other two were major headaches in application.
Salon Perfect Mad About Mod (over FingerPaints Film Noir) – This glitter was my favorite of the three. I love the combination of small and large round glitter, and the colors are really fun. I inverted the bottle for about 10 minutes before applying and found the glitters fairly easy to get out.
Salon Perfect Spot On (over OPI Can't Find My Czechbook) – Although the glitters in this were fun and unique, the formula was horrible. I inverted the bottle for the same amount of time as Mad About Mod, but they were still hard to get out, and as result I had to “glob” them on, which in turn resulted in air bubbles. Not pretty close up.
Salon Perfect Flower Power over FingerPaints Petal Obsession (with Salon Perfect Spot On accent) and over Gelish Mini Up in the Blue – I thought the glitters in this were so fun and pretty that I tried to swatch them twice, only to end up with the same results as Spot On.
I gotta give props to Salon Perfect for thinking outside the box with these glitters, but until they figure out a suspension base that will work with large circles, I would pass on them. Except Mad About Mod, that is! For $3.98 that is one glitter I wouldn’t pass up!
You can find the Salon Perfect Top (Coat) of the Class display at your local Walmart.
